Sustainably Sourced Coffee Burundi Busasa – Natural
Elegant, Complex & Silky
Notes: Apricot, Pomelo, Jasmine Tea & a Creamy Finish
The Story Behind the Coffee
Grown in the high-altitude hills of Muyinga Province, this exceptional coffee comes from the Busasa washing station, run by Zuberi Matsitsi, owner of Matraco Coffee. With a team of six full-time staff and 150 seasonal workers, Busasa supports 1,600 local farmers, ensuring quality and sustainability at every stage.
Built in 2014, Busasa’s washing station plays a crucial role in the community. The station's 151 African drying beds carefully process the coffee, with natural lots drying for 35 days and washed lots for 20 days. The result? A beautifully balanced and vibrant cup with layers of fruit, floral, and creamy complexity.
Sustainable Impact
Through Raw Material Burundi, the focus goes beyond great coffee. By ensuring higher profits for farmers and investing in local infrastructure, this initiative drives real change—supporting both the coffee producers and the wider community.
